3.1 Standards

The “Grid Enabled Secure Linux Kernel's” consortium has chosen a set of technology standards that support the implementation of a federated information network. These standards are those that underpin the current as well as in the emerging area of Grid Services. These standards were chosen because of their open and platform neutral manner thus allowing an open and flexible choice for the implementer.
For the sake of parallel execution the following representation is used as standard

Our Approach

The following diagram shows how the Kernel and Grid on it technologically, build upon one another and upon this existing infrastructure of Modules and Services which not only follows the above standards but also has the required innovations to meet the research requirements.
