SEMANTIC META SEARCH ENGINE USING SEMANTIC SIMILARITY MEASURE |
Author: |
A.K.MARIAPPAN, Dr.R.M.SURESH, Dr.V.SUBBIAH BHARATHI |
Abstract: |
Many people use search engines to find their requirements on the web. But,
research showed that each search engines covers some parts of the web.
Therefore, Meta search engines are invented to combine results of different
search engines and increase web search effectiveness due to a larger coverage of
indexed web. Additionally, given query should be more specific to retrieve the
more relevant web pages. By considering all these factors, semantic Meta search
engine is proposed using semantic similarity measure that refines the input
query in a more specific way. Initially, query given by the user is input to
Wordnet ontology to obtain the neighbor keywords. Then, the query and neighbors
are given to semantic similarity measure to choose the most suitable query
words. Then, the selected query is given to different search engine like Google,
Bing and Yahoo. After retrieving web pages from the web, the ranking of those
pages are carried out using the ranking measure. Finally, the experimentation is
carried out to prove the efficiency of the semantic Meta search engine using
precision, recall and F-measure. |

CHARACTERISTIC ANALYSIS OF CURRENT SPECTRUM ON SHEARER CUTTING LOAD |
Author: |
ZHIPENG XU |
Abstract: |
According to the disadvantages of former shearer cutting load measuring method
and its low anti-interference ability, this paper proposes a new shearer cutting
load measuring method based on the current spectrum. On the basis of load
analysis of shearer cutting unit drive system, the theoretical models are
established between cutting load and cutting motor current. Simulated load test
to the electric haulage coal shearer on the motor load simulation test bed in
Xi'an Coal Mining Machinery Co. Ltd Electrical Branch, and using the wavelet
analysis theory to do wavelet decomposition and reconstruction on the test data.
On load analog signal and the current reconstruction signal performed a
time-frequency analysis. The results show that: (1) Cutting current signal in
the time domain lags behind the cutting load change. In the frequency domain the
two are corresponding relationship and has a very strong correlation. The
correlation coefficient is 0.8853. (2) Current RMS signal reflect the cutting
load change that mainly concentrated in the t frequency band less than 10Hz.
Hence, it is not easy to be interfered by the power fluctuations and coal
impact. The frequency of MG900/2210-WD is 1.63Hz. (3) The wavelet decomposition
can effectively filter the current signal in the high frequency interference.
After the reconstruction of wavelet, low frequency current signals can be got
easily. |

Abstract: |
Research the global path optimization of mobile robot. The traditional evolution
algorithm’s shortcoming is precocity, in order to overcome the shortcoming and
improve the speed and accuracy of the traditional evolution algorithm. The paper
combined cloud theory with rough set to use in path planning of mobile robot. In
simulation experiment, the environment was described by grid method and random
produced initial path group, the first rough set used training initial path
group, a series of feasible paths calculated by the minimum decision rule
training. The path population optimized by cloud model finally acquired the best
path to walk. The simulation results verified special when the initial group was
large the convergence speed and search quality had improved by the algorithm
combined with the evolutionary algorithm. |

DISTURBANCE REJECTION FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR SYSTEMS WITH INPUT TIME-DELAY |
Author: |
WEN XINYU |
Abstract: |
Disturbance-observer-based control (DOBC) has been considered as a robust
control scheme against the various unknown disturbances in many applications The
existing DOBC methods were only applicable for the case where disturbances
satisfy time matching condition, i.e., they enter the system in the same time as
the control inputs. By appropriately designing a auxiliary observer, the
disturbance of future time is predicted after appropriate coordinate
transformation, new disturbance estimation and rejection law are designed in
this paper. One novel feature of the proposed method is that the merits of DOBC
can be inherited for a class of nonlinear systems with input time-delay. By
integrating the disturbance observers with conventional robust control laws, the
disturbances can be rejected and the desired dynamic performances can be
guaranteed. Simulations demonstrate the advantages of the proposed scheme. |

THE NAVIGATIONAL CONTROL MODEL FOR ICE–COVERED CANAL AND APPLICATIONS |
Author: |
HAN YAN-CHENG, LUO HUI, SU XIAO -CHENG , LU JING-WEI |
Abstract: |
In Semi-cold regions, the canal water is flow under ice cover and the ice is
float on the water. The speed of water level dropping and rising must be
controlled strictly to prevent ice break. But in the classic PID control, on the
one hand the goal water level is a fixed horizontal line, so the error is large
at start and brings large overshot which make ice cover break easily. On the
other hand, the control processes and speed can not accurately predict before
control which cause the control process as expected. In this paper, a new
navigational and guiding canal control algorithm is proposed. In this method, a
dynamic navigational goal of water level is set before. Through this controller,
the control process will follow the guiding, and the water level change process
is controlled well as we expected. The simulations show that the water
fluctuation and overshoot are smaller. |

Abstract: |
This paper puts forward a method of building a macro model of operational
amplifier. And then it describes the way on how to use the Verilog-AMS language
with the Cadence Virtuoso AMS simulator as a simulation tool in the behavior
level. In order to verify the correctness of the behavior descriptions, the
paper simulates the described op-amp in a basic integral operation. The result
shows the macro model has appropriate accuracy while needs more less simulation
time. The high-level model described by Verilog-AMS has advantages in not only
reducing simulation time but also simplifying the simulation process. The method
that uses macro model for simulation of the more complex system will become wide

Abstract: |
In order to improve the clustering result of semi-structured texts, it needs to
reduce the dimension and sparsity. To reduce the dimensions of semi-structured
texts clustering, aimed at meta-data of semi-structured texts, we build the
metadata feature vectors. Based on the domain concepts model, we build domain
vector based on the domain concepts tree (set). With the help of the WordNet, we
compute semantic similarity between the metadata feature vector and the domain
vector. Finally, the clustering algorithm is designed to cluster semi-structured
texts based on the semantic similarity between metadata feature vectors and
domain vectors. The analysis shows that the clustering algorithm is feasible and
has higher clustering accurate rate. It can ease the problem of lacking domain

Abstract: |
In order to guarantee real time, a simple control method is presented to
stabilize the fast-moving system-inverted pendulum. The method was obtained by
mathematical derivation based on the dynamical model of the inverted pendulum
system, but the control strategy is independent of the model. It is applicable
for controlling other multi input single output plants besides inverted
pendulum. A controller was designed to stabilize an inverted pendulum based on
that method. The structure of the controller is simplified, and the parameters
which need to be adjusted are reduced. The simulation result shows that the
simple control method is valid to stabilize the inverted pendulum. |

Abstract: |
Multiresolution representations are often used in terrain rendering systems to
increase system performance. To avoid popping effects, these systems usually
utilize geomorphing technique, which may be presented as the bottleneck of the
system. With the recent advance of graphics hardware, that is, the
programmability, we try to decrease the CPU load by shifting the geomorphing
from CPU to GPU. But this doubles the data amount that needs to be transferred
through graphics bus. By carefully organizing terrain data in compact format, we
can reduce the data amount to about 40% of the original. These techniques help
us to accelerate the rendering process about 30% to 100%, compared with standard
OpenGL implementation. |

CROSSTALK ANALYSIS FOR HIGH-PRECISION OPTICAL PICKUP ACTUATOR SYSTEM |
Author: |
QINGXI JIA, ZHIZHENG WU, YANG LI, MEI LIU |
Abstract: |
The traditional optical pickup actuator model based on the assumption that the
actuator spatial magnetic field distributes uniformly ignores the crosstalk
characteristic among the movements of different directions. Crosstalk
characteristic is a key factor that affects the actuator dynamic property and,
consequently, the accuracy of reading and writing operation in the future higher
density optical storage systems. In this paper, the actuator spatial magnetic
field distribution model is first established, then the crosstalk movement
phenomenon of the actuator is analyzed and simulated in CST software based on
finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) principle. By investigating the parameters
of the width and height of the permanent magnet and the thickness of the
focusing coil, it is concluded that the crosstalk characteristic is closely
related with these structural parameters and crosstalk can be effectively
reduced by optimal design of them, thus, the dynamic performance of the actuator
can be improved. |

Abstract: |
Camera calibration accuracy will affect directly the target tracking effect. The
traditional camera model only considered the linear perspective projection
model, such as the pinhole camera projection model, the linear model is not suit
for the wide angle lens camera with big distortion, the radial and tangential
distortions exist simultaneously in the image obtained by the wide angle fovea
lens camera. Therefore, in this paper, a calibration method is proposed, which
is based on RBF neural network (RBFNN) calibration model. RBFNN is three-layer
feed-forward neural network including input layer, hidden layer and output layer
with the good performance, RBFNN can avoid the calculation and reasoning from
the geometry. At last, the calibration experiment result shows that RBFNN has
high accuracy than the linear calibration, moreover, the RBFNN model has
increased the flexibility of system, and has the important practical
significance. |

Abstract: |
With the advancement of urbanization, how to make the city taxi system
efficiently operate is an important problem in public transportation. The
traditional cruise or point-point type guest-looking ways lead to the waste of
resources, high operation cost and long passengers' waiting time. This is
because the information transmission between the taxi and passenger is not
real-time. This paper implements a taxi calling system based on intelligent
mobile terminal, by which the passengers and the taxi driver can exchange
information anytime. It can analyze the randomly appeared personalized passenger
transport demand and timely transfer it to the appropriate service provider
(cab), so as to fully use the existing taxi service potential, promote the
improvement and development of city bus system, improve the quality of urban
residents and promote the quality of the city. This paper tests the city taxi
calling system through the actual system and simulation methods. The
experimental results show that the use of the system can reduce the taxi empty
loading rate by 68%, and the average passenger waiting time by 73%. |

Abstract: |
The jiangtou color of Chinese datas full in ripe stage are similar to the normal
ones and not be readily detected., so a new method is put forward based on
chrominance compone and image morphology for detecting jiangtou. Obtain
respective color space image of Chinese datas ; Cut out an image in the normal
area and four images in the jiangtou area of respective color space image;
Calculate gray average value and gray range and standard square deviation to
screen Preliminarily parameters. The result is r and b in rgb color space; I2 in
I1I2I3 color space; S in HIS color space and S in HSV color space. Use image
morphology method to draw a complete jiangtou. Do experiments with 57 Chinese
datas including 27crackled datas and 30 normal datas. The result show that S in
HSV color space is superior to others and the correct recognition rate of
jiangtou datas is 81.5% and the false positive rate is 3.3%,which can basically
meet the accuracy requirement of Chinese red dates grading system. |

Abstract: |
PDF417 barcode identification is very sensitive to the skew angle while existing
tilt angle detection algorithms are defective because of great calculation cost
or high complexity or uncertain result. In this paper, a series of morphological
transforms are applied to extract PDF417 out of complex background. Firstly,
pre-process captured PDF417 images by noise removal and illumination
equalization and then binarize it. Secondly, barcode’s skew angle is detected
through measuring eroded area by dot pair or linear structure element based on
the PDF417 barcode’s directional texture characteristics. Finally,
reconstruction operation is utilized to obtain the full PDF417 barcode. The
simulation shows that the algorithm can detect the PDF417 tilt angle exactly,
and segment the barcode from complex noisy background. |
