THE FEATURES OF THE PREDICTIVE COMPUTING MODELING POWER SYSTEM LOAD IN TERMS OF
REFORMING ENERGY MARKET |
Author: |
TERENTIEV O. M., PROSIANKINA-ZHAROVA T. I., LАHNO V. A., USATIUK Y. V. |
Abstract: |
The development of the country's energy system, its reform is one of the key
issues not only for the development of the national economy, but also for
national security. Ukraine does not stay away from the global tendencies of
integration of energy systems, increase of energy efficiency, increase of the
share of renewable sources in the structure of energy consumption. Therefore,
the power market segment has a special place in the energy market as one of the
most powerful export-oriented industries. Therefore, considerable attention is
paid to the formation of an efficient electricity market infrastructure,
optimization of its distribution and generation system, implementation of its
rational use system and reduction of electricity prices. That is why the tasks
of strategic and operational management of the load on the grid are important
for both business entities and state and regional authorities. The lack of an
effective science-based system of analysis and forecasting of grid load,
generation and consumption of electricity is one of the factors that
significantly impede the implementation of reforms in the energy sector. That is
why the creation of a decision support system based on the predictive modeling
subsystem is especially timely and relevant. The proposed system is universal
and can be used in different countries of the world, as it is tailored to take
into account the national peculiarities of the energy market of the country, its
creation uses the experience of leading scientific institutions and energy
generating companies, and its ability is tested through a large number of
numerous experiments. |

UNDERSTANDING ENERGY PROFILE FOR SOFTWARE APPLICATION |
Author: |
AREEJ A. AHMED, SHAWKAT K. GUIRGUIS, MAGDA M. MADBOLY |
Abstract: |
The expansion of energy-aware software is considered major necessity for a lot
of computers and smart phone devices. Coinciding with the high importance of
computers, electricity cost increasing, Energy measurement techniques have been
evolved for measuring and enhancing the energy consumption of software layers.
In spite of this fact, these techniques can't determine enough energy
information. And they can't locate how and where the energy is wasted within
software. Therefore, a framework is proposed to offer valuable imagination for
programmers to write energy efficient code and software. And to creates a
comparison study in energy evolution model of software applications to gain
opportunities for energy minimizing. |

JINAN F. N. AL-JOBORY, EMAD B. AL-ZANGANA, FAEZ HASSAN ALI |
Abstract: |
The modular representations of the FpWn-Specht modules as linear codes is given
in our paper [5]. In this paper we are concerning of finding the linear codes of
the representations of the irreducible FpW4-submodules of the FpW4-Specht
modules for each pair of partitions of a positive integer n = 4, where Fp =
GF(p) is the Galois field (finite field) of order p, and p is a prime number
greater than or equal to 3. We will find in this paper a generator matrix of a
subspace representing the irreducible FpW4-submodules of the FpW4-Specht modules
and give the linear code of for each prime number p greater than or equal to 3.
Then we will give the linear codes of all the subspaces for all pair of
partitions of a positive integer n = 4, and for each prime number p greater than
or equal to 3. We mention that some of the ideas of this work in this paper
have been influenced by that of Adalbert Kerber and Axel Kohnert [12], even
though that their paper is about the symmetric group and this paper is about the
Weyl groups of type Bn. |

Abstract: |
Social insurance is an individual’s protection against risks such as retirement,
death or disability. Big data mining and analytics in a way that could help the
insurers and the actuaries to get the optimal decision for the insured
individuals. Dependently, this paper proposes a novel analytic framework for
Egyptian Social insurance big data. NOSI’s data contains data which needs some
pre-processing methods after extraction like replacing missing values,
standardization and outlier/extreme data. The paper also presents using some
mining methods such as clustering and classification algorithms on the Egyptian
social insurance dataset through an experiment. In clustering, we used K-means
clustering and the result showed a silhouette score 0.138 with two clusters in
the dataset features. In classification, we used the Support Vector Machine
(SVM) classifier and classification results showed a high accuracy percentage of
94%. |

MASLINDA MOHD NADZIR, NAFISHAH OTHMAN, NORMAH AWANG BINTING |
Abstract: |
Social media platforms usage by government agencies is a major trend in
electronic government (e-government) practices, serving as one alternative for
improving e-government services and enhancing information dissemination to the
citizens. It is an issue for government agencies to connect with citizens
through social media platforms. However, government agencies should support the
usage of social media platforms to engage with more citizens. There are
currently limited studies conducted on social media interactions in Malaysian
government agencies’ social media platforms. Therefore, this study explores the
features affecting citizens’ engagement in government agencies’ Facebook page,
which is a social media platform. We conducted a survey in the Kedah state,
Malaysia. A total of 475 questionnaires were administered to the citizens. The
findings established that the trust in government is a prominent factor in
inducing the citizens’ connection with the government agencies’ Facebook page.
These results can provide new insights to government agencies based on the
importance of developing social media strategies to interactively promote and
engage social media platforms. |

NOOR MUALLA , ESSAM H. HOUSSEIN , AND M. R. HASSAN |
Abstract: |
The accurate age estimation of human is crucial in several cases and fields.
Bone Age Assessment (BAA) can be an effective method for human age estimation
for live and dead human. Several manual methods have been proposed to achieve
this task; however, they are time consuming and error-prone. In this paper, an
automated bone age assessment system is proposed based on the concept of
transfer learning for feature extraction. In the proposed system, the hand X-ray
images are preprocessed, and the discriminant features are extracted using a
pre-trained, fine-tuned deep neural networks (AlexNet and ResNet-101). Finally,
the age group of the hand X-ray image is determined using a number of
classification models including decision tree, k-nearest neighbour, linear
discriminant, and support vector machine. The proposed system is assessed using
the RSNA Bone Age dataset. The obtained results have shown that the
ResNet-101-based features are more effective than the corresponding
AlexNet-based features. In addition, the decision tree classifier is better than
the remaining classifiers with classification accuracy up to 100%. |

Author: |
MUSTAFA BANIKHALAF, MOHAMMAD ASHRAF OTTOM, MAMOON OBIEDAT, NABHAN HAMADNEH |
Abstract: |
Traffic congestions at intersections inside urban cities gain a considerable
research interest. Traditional physical traffic light systems become unable to
manage traffic congestions efficiently due to a vast increase on the number of
vehicles on the roads. Recently, Virtual Traffic light (VTL) system technology
based vehicular communications has attracted research community and industry.
The emerging field of Fog computing and vehicular networks make replacing
traditional physical traffic light systems by VTL system is cost-effective.
Hence, the main contribution of this paper is divided into two parts. First part
is to provide a taxonomy of the research on traffic light systems and traffic
congestions based different vehicular communications. The second part is to
design a new framework to implement VTL system based on fog computing
architecture namely F-VTL. In contrast to traditional VTL system, the algorithm
that operates the F-VTL dynamically manages vehicles passing unsignalized
intersections. In F-VTL system, a fog node is responsible to collect and
processes data from vehicles on a regular base to control F-VTL system.
Simulation experiments show that F-VTL has better performance compared to the
traditional VTL system. |

A PROPOSED FRAMEWORK FOR TEST SUITE PRIORITIZATION AND REDUCTION USING THE
CLUSTERING DATA MINING TECHNIQUE |
Author: |
KHALID ELDRANDALY, MAHMOUD ABD ELLATIF, NORA ZAKI |
Abstract: |
Software testing is one of the most critical phases of the software development
life cycle. The primary purpose of software testing is to check the produced
program or application before delivering it to the target customer and to
discover the hidden faults or errors that lead to system failure. The time and
cost consumed by software testing are one of the most critical limitations of
software testing. The most consumed time in software testing results from
executing a large number of redundant and inefficient test cases. Therefore, the
automatic generated test cases should be filtered before executing them. Test
suit reduction TSR and test suite prioritization TSP are considered as a
management method for test suites. They provide efficient management for test
suites by reducing and prioritizing the number of test cases. The main goal of
this research is to propose a framework for improving the software testing
process by using the clustering-based test suite prioritization and reduction
techniques. The main objective of the proposed framework is to generate an
optimal set of test cases from the original set. The optimal set of test cases
can be efficiently executed in less time and cost. A case study is conducted to
estimate the performance of the proposed framework. The results show that the
proposed framework is robust and valuable for software testing process under the
limited time and provides testers with some guides to obtain maximal benefit of
the proposed framework. |

K MEDOID-LEAST COST COMBINED MODEL IN COMBINED AND SCHEDULED SHIPPING SERVICE |
Author: |
PURBA DARU KUSUMA |
Abstract: |
City courier service still meets inefficiency, especially while handling multi
destination orders. In the existing system, single transaction order means
delivering packet from one sender to one destination. So, when a customer needs
to send more than one packets to more than one destination, customer must create
order one by one. Then a driver can execute only one delivery order. Besides
that, a driver also cannot deliver packets that their destination is close to
each other because these packets are ordered by different customers. Based on
this problem, in this work, we develop dispatch model that supports combined
shipping model. In combined shipping model, customer can create one order that
contains more than one destination. Meanwhile, a driver can execute more than
one packet concurrently. This work is a continuation of our previous works in
combined shipping service and scheduled shipping service. In this work, we
develop the dispatch model by combing and modifying k-medoid method and least
cost method. In our previous work, the world is a square shaped city. In this
work, the virtual work is a circle shaped city. This work is also the
improvement of our previous work that uses sequential least cost and Round Robin
method. This model then is implemented into city courier simulation application.
Based on the simulation result, this proposed model performs better than the
conventional method in reducing the total driver distance. By using these
proposed models, the total travel distance reduction is above 60 percents. The
reduction in total driver distance has positive relation with reduction in total
cost. These proposed models also reduce travel distance disparity among drivers
as it becomes problems in the previous work. The travel distance standard
deviation of least first-medoid model is below 5 kilometer while travel distance
standard deviation of Round Robin-medoid model is below 10 percent. |

PLATFORMS |
Author: |
FAIZ ALSHROUF, SHADI R MASADEH, FAISAL ALZYOUD |
Abstract: |
A The paradigm of Mobile Agents is emerging in the field of distributed
computing. Mobile agents present features, such as autonomy and capability to
roam to hosts, process data, and save remote communications. Many mobile agent
platforms have been developed for research purposes while other platforms have
been deployed as commercial products. Several Java-based platforms have been
already implemented and many researchers is now starting to implement some based
applications. In most of the cases, the performance of the applications is an
issue of paramount importance. A common problem when one wants to benefit from
mobile agent platform is the decision about which platform to use. In fact
performance evaluation is exploited to address different issues according to
which, different measurements are required. In practice, there is a need for
tools and techniques for evaluation of the performances of the adopted mobile
agent platforms. Related work proposes a set of performance metrics, slightly
different one from the other, and measure different approaches. In this
research, a mathematical model is presented that evaluates performance
evaluation of different agent platforms and agents interested behavior. The
study suggests set of agent platforms to evaluate and finally comparing
performance amongst them. |
