Abstract: |
Film industry is one of the most prospective cultural business sectors
and attracts much of public attention. However, investment on individual
film titles is notorious for its high risk level, which has raised the
necessity of research on the influential factors for box office revenue.
Despite of abundant extant studies, those attempts have been mostly
limited to a certain kind of factors and the competitive environment is
even hardly explored. In this regard, we investigate the significance
and relative contribution of a wide variety of possible influential
factors including distribution power and competition. In this study, we
devised various new variables to reflect competition environment and
categorized independent variables into several groups in order to
compare their influences. Results showed that all various information
reflected in four variable groups contribute to box office revenue in
both estimation and forecasting. Between mathematical models, SVM models
exhibit better result than linear models as expected. Regarding
competition variables, the number of competitors is found to be more
effective compared to their distribution power. |

Abstract: |
Developments in digital restoration and reproduction technologies
accelerate the accompanying growth of industries which utilize
contemporary multimedia environment. This is most manifestly witnessed
in the application of Digital Actor. Digital Actor, in addition to the
realistic description of outer appearance, must enhance user experience
by overcoming uncanny valley phenomenon. Recent researches on Digital
Actor have focused on the visual reproduction of Digital Actor based on
Live Actor. And for priority is given to application of initially
planned contents, its utilization to different contents is also
inconvenient. This study researches the figuration and application of
Digital Actor through Multimedia Data Editing Tool which can process,
save and edit the form information, pattern image and action video of
real figures of the past and present into 3D Resource & Animation Data
through life cycle. In utilization of Digital Actor, this study
particularly aims to make Digital Actor feel like a real figure in
digital and offline space when it performs its role and to popularize it
for expanded performance of Digital Actor |

TAEK LEE, HOH PETER IN |
Abstract: |
In this paper, we introduce an algorithm and an application for modeling
user’s circadian rhythm with activity trackers, also known as smart
bands (e.g., Misfit Shine or Fitbit). The proposed algorithm detects
anomalies in the users circadian rhythm pattern (i.e., activity
pattern of 24-hour cycle). Diurnal biorhythm data were collected using
smart bands and the data were analyzed using Levenshtein distance. We
evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm to distinguish
between ordinary days and abnormal days. During the experiment period,
the users recorded the mood, fatigue, and event occurrence of the day,
and evaluated the performance of the proposed algorithm through
comparison with users recorded opinions. In the user study, the
proposed method detected normal or abnormal patterns of life rhythm with
86% accuracy. |

Abstract: |
As the importance of computing education has increased, Korea has
strengthened its informatics courses in the 2015 revised national
curriculum. However, there is no previous research on the newly added
area of physical computing. In this study, Arduino was selected as a
physical computing device to be used in school settings and developed
educational program. In addition, the developed educational program was
applied to high school students for 36 hours of instruction time. As a
result of the application, there was no statistically significant change
in the creative problem-solving ability of high school students who
received the Arduino-based education. Upon investigating their opinions
on Arduino-based education, the students who participated in the class
said the Arduino-based education program was interesting and provided an
accomplishment. However, they felt that the class was difficult because
of factors such as design and debugging. Based on these results, it was
confirmed that consideration of teaching-learning methods, teaching
materials, and activities is necessary for high school students to teach
physical computing. |

Abstract: |
With the fourth industrial revolution, software education has become
much more important. In South Korea, Informatics will be taught as
mandatory to middle school students; education program development and
applications with block based programming languages are vivaciously
conducted. Although App Inventor has various educational effects, it has
not been studied enough. Based on advanced research, an education
program was developed, it was applied to 12 elementary school students
who were living in Cheongju. As a result of applying the 20th App
Inventor education program, there was no significant difference in the
creative problem-solving ability and self-efficacy of elementary school
students. Those students thought that the App Inventor program was
interesting and it is needed to allocate proper class hours by their
grade level. Through this result, in the 2015 revised national
curriculum, an educational method was conducted to take advantage of App
Inventor effectively. This study shows how App Inventor educational
programs should be developed and to energize software education. |

Abstract: |
Coastal zones are constantly exposed to changes caused by natural
processes, anthropogenic activities or both, which can precariously
alter the coastal landscapes of many countries. Thus, monitoring of
coastal zones is needed to provide important information about current
conditions of a countrys coastal areas by examining changes that are
taking place. In this respect, such monitoring can be carried out by
traditional ground survey, airborne aerial photo, or remote sensing.
However, the former is more effective and efficient as it can extract
vital boundary information from satellite images using appropriate image
analysis. Nonetheless, shoreline extraction has a number of challenges,
and many methods have been proposed to improve such extraction, such as
the use of machine learning methods. Thus, this study was carried out to
determine the most effective ensemble voting classifier based on two
different types of classifiers, comprising 11 single classifiers and 4
ensemble classifiers. Performance criteria of the classifiers were based
on the overall accuracy, training time, and testing time. The analysis
of the experimental data revealed several interesting results. First,
for the combination of single and ensemble classifiers, ensemble
classifiers with majority voting of Random Forest and Support Vector
Machine RBF kernel were the most effective classifiers, attaining high
overall accuracy. Second, for the combination of two single classifiers,
Multilayer Perceptron and k-Nearest Neighbor attained high overall
accuracy, rendering them as the most effective classifiers in this
category of classifiers. Third, there were trade-offs between
performance measures, as increased overall accuracy was accompanied by
longer training and testing time in the performance of such classifiers
as both of voting-based ensemble classifiers increased significantly |

ENERGY-EFFICIENT QOE-AWARE DESKTOP DELIVERY SCHEME FOR DESKTOP AS A
SERVICE IN MOBILE CLOUD COMPUTING |
Author:
|
XUAN-QUI PHAM, CHOONG SEON HONG, EUI-NAM HUH |
Abstract: |
Recently, mobile cloud computing has emerged as the state-of-the-art
mobile service provisioning. As one of cloud computing service
categories, Desktop as a Service (DaaS) enables mobile users to access
their virtual desktop in the cloud with any DaaS clients, such as
smartphones, tablets. A desktop delivery protocol is responsible for
providing the communication channels through the network between the
DaaS client and the DaaS platform in order to deliver display updates
and other interaction information. There are many challenges in
developing a desktop delivery protocol. In order to guarantee the
Quality of Experience (QoE) of users, the protocol needs to maintain
display quality when processing many different service requirements. On
the other hand, due to the limited capacity of the battery of mobile
devices, the protocol should be energy-efficient in the procedure of
delivering DaaS. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose
a desktop delivery scheme that takes into account both QoE and energy
consumption on mobile devices. Our scheme reasonably uses VNC module and
MJPEG module of the hybrid remote display protocol (HRDP) to deliver
display updates. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed
scheme can provide good display quality of different kinds of service to
mobile clients with low energy consumption. |

Author:
|
HYOJIN LIM, YEONGYU CHOI, CUONG NGUYEN KHAC, HO-YOUL JUNG |
Abstract: |
In this paper, we propose a moving object detection method which can
give warning to drivers and then help to prevent possible traffic
accidents. The proposed method is designed to detect moving objects in
both situations when host vehicle is stopping (static scene) and when it
is slowly driving (dynamic scene). These situations occur alternately in
parking lots. The proposed moving object detection method consists
mainly of optical flow estimation, background modeling and clustering
steps. Amplitude of motion vector is calculated from optical flow
technique and used for background modeling. In order to apply
effectively background subtraction to motion vectors, we propose a cell
based background modeling which accumulates the amplitudes of every
vector within a cell and up-dates adaptive threshold value to classify
the given vectors into foreground and background. Four different optical
flow estimation techniques are considered. Various cell sizes including
1X1, 4X4, 10X10 and 40X40 are applied. The simulations on four kinds of
dynamic scenes and three static scenes show that the proposed method
achieves good enough moving object detection performances. |

A RELATIVE EVALUATION OF AESTHETIC VALUE FOR CONTEMPORARY ABSTRACT ART
CREATED BY COMPUTER CREATIVITY |
Author:

EUN-MI LEE, MI-KYUNG JOO |
Abstract: |
Research of Computational Creativity is one of the most challenging
fields in artificial intelligence of computer systems. Contemporary
artists have been created various kinds of visual art based on
artificial intelligence such as neural networks, machine learning and so
on. However, there is a controversy about whether the artwork created by
Computational Creativity has significant aesthetic value against
artworks created by humans. In this paper, we evaluate aesthetic value
of contemporary abstract artworks created by computer program that
Versteeg developed based on neural networks. We relatively analyze the
aesthetic value of Computational Creativity against the aesthetic value
of human creativity. We conduct experiments with people that 10 pairs of
paintings are presented that one is created by Versteegs program and
the other is painted by an artist of middle standing. The experimental
results show that the relative aesthetic value of artworks created by
the computer program is slightly lower than those of artists of middle
standing. Also, similar to human artists, we found that Computer
Creativity can create masterpiece or failure. As the results created by
a human artist fluctuates, Computer Creativity also may create various
level of artworks in the view of aesthetic value. Since Computational
Creativity research in visual art is in the very early stage, creating
artwork by Computational Creativity has potentials to be improved and to
surpass humans creativity. |

Abstract: |
This study aims to construct an appropriate targeting strategy on the
hotel guests who belong to a specific cultural boundary by comparing
according to text analysis of 12,540 reviews written by Chinese FIT
(Free Independent Traveler) and 34,330 by people from others covering 20
hotels in Seoul from Jan. 2013 to June. 2016. This study consists of
three steps. In step I, in order to practice topic modeling, we examined
using LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation). We extracted the keywords for
the experiment of the next step. In step II, we investigated which words
the keywords extracted from the topic model are linked with by using
text-link analysis to make up for the limitations of LDA in terms of
interpretation of data. Based on two steps above, in step III, we found
the hidden concepts related to keywords and constructed the targeting
strategy on Chinese FIT for hotel decision makers. |

Abstract: |
We can use a Dijkstra algorithm to calculate shortest paths on a polygon
mesh. However, if the number of vertices of a polygon mesh is large, the
efficiency of conventional path searching method that using Dijkstra
algorithm is low. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a
method to search shortest distance and path by using the A* algorithm.
According to an experiment with the bunny model with 2,503 vertices, the
efficiency of searching the shortest path is improved approximately 80%
than conventional methods. |

Abstract: |
Today, airline industry is going through a very difficult period of time
in the aftermath of hostile events, such as 9.11 terror, Avian
Influenza, Jika Virus which one of spread of diseases, financial crises
and protectionism for national interests worldwide. And it is low cost
carriers that emerged as an alternative for competitive advantage using
fright information system. Recently, many low cost carriers started to
provide services for long haul flights where full service carries used
to take a large share in the past, and low cost carriers have been
successful in attracting a lot of people by providing competitive
services, such as fright information system which are on-time departure
and arrival service and various cabin services, with competitive prices,
compared with full service carries. Now, low cost carriers have become
active participants in Korean market together with five major Korean
Airline companies and various airline companies from overseas. Low cost
carriers are also making a lot of efforts to make more people interested
and reduce cost in their services based on fright information system
including mobile system. In this study, the factors that have big
impacts on the profitability of low cost carriers are investigated based
on the fright information system. Therefore this research suggest fright
information system which are Operating Service, Customer Service, Flight
Service, Reserve, Ticketing and Refund Service, and offline service
which is Cabin Service have positive influence on Customer Satisfaction
and Return Customer. As a results, online and offline service which are

Abstract: |
This paper introduces how to support machine-to-machine (M2M) terminals
that send a small data on 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) long
term evolution-advanced (LTE-A) system. Especially, we con-sider the
lack of random access channel (RACH) and rapidly increasing average
latency for both cellular users and countless M2M devices that also are
known as machine type communications (MTC) devices. To resolve the
overload on physical random access channel (PRACH), this paper studies
how to group numerous MTC devices. We also propose a two-way design of
efficient congestion control techniques with adaptive access probability
and back-off index according to user-defined types. We can expect to
improve the average latency by giving fair access opportunity to
cellular users, although they have a disadvantage of access compared to
MTC users. The simulations have been done under various assumptions for
the validation of proposals. Our proposals can alleviate overload over
PRACH as well as the average latency for cellular and M2M users through
simulations. |

Abstract: |
Unmanned ground vehicle like robot is one of the most effective weapon
systems based on leading edge technology in the modern warfare. However,
its efficiency is still a difficult question to answer. Especially,
measuring the effectiveness of unmanned ground vehicle quantitatively
needs a particular simulation framework to handle many different rule
based agent modeling procedure. In this paper, we propose a new
simulation framework for how to measure the operational effectiveness of
unmanned ground vehicle in a small unit combat scenario. The framework
is processed with following three phases. At first, we consider all
relational factors for input and output variables in communication
network environment of all platforms. Secondly, build a simulation model
and select a measure of effectiveness based on purpose of the system
performance. Thirdly, execute a simulation model and produce MOE in
order to do output analysis. |

Providing the safety on the roads on the most valuable task. It is time
and money-consuming task on winter season to clean and melt iced and
snowed roads. Currently, melting snow in roads use salt, that cause of
corrosion infrastructure and vehicles, and elevated sodium levels in
water. Putting heating cables or pipes are much better on this content,
but energy consumption of this system very high since no accurate ice
sensors, algorithms, and centralized real time control systems. On our
research there built Snow Melting System for Smart residential

A STUDY ON THE IMPROVEMENT OF RECENT ON-LINE MEDICAL ADVERTISEMENT |
Author:
|
YOUNG JU JEUN , HYUN WOO KIM |
Abstract: |
The recent medical advertisement format is gradually expanding online as
well as offline. In addition, after the Supreme Court ruling that the
pre-censorship of medical advertisement was unconstitutional last year,
medical advertisement by on-line are continuously increasing, and
medical consumers are expected to suffer from false advertising. Medical
advertisements of medical institutions can provide accurate and correct
information to medical consumers to make the choice of medical consumers
wisely, and there is a net function of improving the quality of medical
services through healthy competition among medical institutions.
However, the increase in medical advertising has the dysfunctions that
can cause infringement of consumer choice right and unfair and excessive
competition due to the increase of medical service price, increase of
advertising cost, damage of consumers due to false or exaggerated
advertisement. Since medical care is closely related to the lives of the
people, it requires stronger ethics, compliance and publicity than
general advertising. And it is urgent to take measures to minimize the
damage of the increasing number of on-line medical advertisements. The
purpose of this study is to investigate the status of medical
advertisements and compare the regulations of foreign countries with the
on-line medical advertisements among the medical advertisements. |

PLATFORM MODEL COMPOSITION FRAMEWORK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF REAL-TIME
CONTROL SYSTEMS |
Author:
|
SANGSOO PARK |
Abstract: |
Recent trend imposes stringent requirements on the design of embedded
systems, differentiating them from general-purpose computer systems such
as power consumption, timeliness, reliability, etc. Traditional platform
models based on a single view of the underlying support software and
hardware are not adequate for modeling all of the interference between
the run-time tasks, resources, and services within a system caused by
their behaviors and properties. This is mainly due to the fact that
application software is tightly tuned to a particular platform, or it is
designed and developed to be platform-specific. To overcome this
limitation, a platform modeling framework for model-based software
development is proposed by identifying the ranges of acceptable platform
properties for application software and by specifying the models of
computation with respect to the nonfunctional constraints on the
underlying execution platform. Specifically, the focus is a
multicore-based compositional platform model with fault tolerance for
the developed framework. As a case study, a multicore real-time
scheduling algorithm is applied to the framework, and the simulation
results demonstrate the efficacy of the usability of the framework for
supporting fault tolerance. Our proposed approach outperforms by 8.5%
even for very heavy loaded system compared to the existing method. |

Abstract: |
This paper presents YesWeb, an improved framework of Yesod. Yesod is a
well-known web-development framework written in Haskell. However, the
syntax of it is somewhat verbose and not familiar to those who are not
accustomed in functional programming. In contrast with Yesod, YesWeb
allows the user to create a web system in a more concise way with a
familiar programming syntax. Further, YesWeb takes the full advantage of
the many-core architectures to get high performance of parallel
computing. Still, Ye-sWeb does not lose the advantages of valuable
Haskell features including the type-safety, the modularity, and the
parallelism and concurrency. To demonstrate the effectiveness of YesWeb,
we have developed a blog application using YesWeb. The result shows that
the performance of YesWeb is proportional to the number of cores until
the workload saturated. |

Abstract: |
Today, ICT is being embedded in everyday objects intended for use with
various products and services. In education, digital manipulative blocks
are educational tools resulting from the convergence with ICT. However,
current blocks are not suitable to create various kinetic forms, so new
digital operation blocks are needed to create various kinetic forms.
Liblo is a set of digital manipulative block with built-in ICT. We are
developing the Liblo as a long term project. In previous studies, we
designed and developed the first prototype of Liblo. This research aims
to improve our Liblo design based on design feedback from usability
tests. In this paper, we present how to apply the usability testing in
order to improve the Liblo design and finally propose newly re-designed
Liblo. Currently, we are developing the newly re-designed Liblo. In
further research, we will provide developmental experiences of the new
Liblo and how to evaluate it. This study contributes to designers or/and
developers who are developing digital manipulative block sets by guiding
Liblo through the design improvement process. |

AN APPROACH TO IMPROVING THE SCALABILITY OF PARALLEL HASKELL PROGRAMS |

Abstract: |
Though the performance of computer hardware is increasing owing to the
many-core architectures, the software counterpart is lack of the
proportional throughput. In this situation, functional languages can be
one of the alternatives to promote the performance of parallel programs
since those languages have an inherent parallelism in evaluating pure
expressions without side-effects. Specifically, Haskell is notably
popular in parallel programming because it provides easy-to-use parallel
constructs based on monads. However, the scalability of parallel
programs in Haskell tends to fluctuate as the number of cores is getting
increased. The garbage collector is suspected to be the source of this
fluctuation because it affects on both the space and the time for the
execution of programs. This paper justifies this conjecture using the
specific tuning tool, namely GC-Tune. We have tuned the behavior of the
garbage collector in the executions of three large-scale parallel
programs: the K-means, a maximal independent set, and plagiarism
detection programs. As a result, the scalabilities of the programs have
been improved by 38%, 21%, and 7%, respec-tively; the fluctuation ranges
are also narrowed down by 45%, 30%, and 58%, respectively, compared to
the original execution of the programs without any tuning. This result
implies that GC-tuning can be an effective method to promote the
scalability of parallel Haskell programs. In results, the execution time
of parallel programs can also be much accurately estimated. |

Abstract: |
In the meantime, Korea has only produced and sold product that were
proven safe through various certification systems before market
introduction. The safety of these products are being managed through
market inspection systems after the products are supplied in the market,
through constant safety inspections and recall of defective products.
However, in spite of the safety management policies of government
agencies and corporations, the damage caused by the distribution of
unsecured products constantly occurs and the people are not completely
free from the anxiety of the product accidents. Therefore, it is
necessary to introduce an evaluation system that regularly checks and
improves the level of the company's product liability (PL) response
activities. This study used SPSS to analyze exploratory factors and
reliability and AMOS to confirm a hypothesis through exploratory factor
and path analysis. We found out that only the strategy and technology of
companies have significant effects on a consumer's perception and
utilization intention, among the detailed implementation plans of PL
response system presented in previous research. In addition, consumers'
perceptions have a significant effect on consumers' intention to use,
and consumers' perception and utilization intention have a significant
effect on the purchase intention of a product. |

Abstract: |
The paradigm of education has been changed around the globe because of
the recent development of smart technology. Thanks to these changes,
various web-based course management systems or instructional approaches
have been integrated into classroom learning and teaching in order to
inspire the study of digital native young generation. This study
investigates university students learning experiences in using Moodle
as the online learning management system which is intended to facilitate
flipped learning procedures within the context of English as a foreign
language (EFL). Moodle is a web-based learning management system with
pedagogical approaches based on constructivism, which emphasizes the
roles of shared learning communities, learner-centeredness, and social
interaction in the learning context. Flipped learning has been
introduced as an effective instructional method which can supplement
conventional teacher-centered instruction and help to promote
learner-centered learning milieu in language classrooms. Along with the
use of Moodle as the learning management system, adopting flipped
learning as an effective instructional strategy can accomplish the
pedagogical paradigm of constructivism. This paper examines a variety of
issues about adopting Moodle as an online learning management system and

Abstract: |
Since a hospital adapt computer system based service such as patients
profile and disease database, payment, and reservation, the data have
been stored and analyzed for better performance of patients care.
Despite of computer based patient’s healthcare service which is core
service of hospital, one of the major complain comes from patients, the
waiting queue is not well solved because of hospital physical resource
limitation. In that, an effective service route to reduce patients
queue has been studied in diverse ways. In this research we clarify the
service route and find out solution to reduce queue time for better
patients service through sample hospitals the orthopedics department
patient data. This research utilize ProM software to clarify service
process and suggest process innovation via queueing theory not process
mining way because only doctor schedule is suitable to change in the
process. |

BIENIL JEON, JAE WAN PARK |
Abstract: |
Today, a variety of social robots capable of interacting and
communicating with humans has begun to emerge. Existing social robots
mainly utilize a voice and/or a small screen for emotionally interacting
with humans despite many possibilities of physically expressing
emotional motion. Thus, this research aims to build methods for
emotional motion prototyping and create a prototype of a social robot
based on the kinematics of the Delta robot. For this research,
literature related to emotional motions of social robots and humans is
explored, and emotional motions of humans is categorized based on six
basic human emotions in order to analyze existing social robots.
Moreover, through analyzing the cases, we propose methods for emotional
motion prototyping. Based on these, a prototype of a social robot is
developed based on the kinematics of a Delta robot and is tested. In
this paper, we present ways to create emotional motions of social robots
and experimental experience of a prototype of a Delta-robot-based social
robot. Further work in this research is to develop an actual social
robot based on the prototype. |

Ye-Jin Kim, Kang-Hee Lee |
Abstract: |
Nowadays, regardless of sex or age, significant attention is paid to
personal appearance, resulting in the ever-increasing spending in the
beauty and fashion markets. Especially, great-looking skin is a foremost
desire; however, there are various components, forms, and
functionalities, and these are diversifying further. The recommended
product depends on the user's skin condition, weather exposure, age, and
sensitivity. Therefore, this paper proposes an expert system that
recommends the most suitable fundamental cosmetics for the user, which
is the very first touch point between the cosmetics seller and the user.
Accordingly, the advantages of the rule-based expert system and the
logic-based language PROLOG are exploited. The system first receives
inputs from the user, and then the inference engine makes a suggestion
for its recommendation of the fundamental cosmetics that result in the
user's satisfaction. |

Abstract: |
In software engineering, the developers in order to recognize which
ingredients or fragments of any software code that put into practice a
definite functionality, they utilize Information Retrieval (IR) methods
to mechanically spot the code that implement them. The main contribution
of this paper is to study and examine the effects of skipping some
textual information, namely, the internal documentations from being
integrated when performing source code indexing for locating changes
process purposes. In this paper, we performed two experiments over three
open systems namely Qt, HippoDraw, and KOFFICE. The first experiment is
done with counting the internal documentations when preprocessing the
software code for locating changes process, while the other one is when
skipping it. We used the standard IR measurements, Recall and Precision,
and we computed the Wilcoxon signed-rank test to compare and evaluate
the results. The experiments results demonstrate that not all internal
documentations should be always considered in the process of locating
changes. Cases in point, for the Qt system, the results show that the
internal documentations improved the results of locating changes while
for HippoDraw and KOFFIC systems, the internal documentations negatively
impacted it. |

Abstract: |
The assessment of the effectiveness of the Web Information Systems (WIS)
is increasingly needed as it significantly contributes to the
organizations at organizational and individual levels. Also, in terms of
assessment, many recent IS research indicated a literature gap in the
conceptualization and completeness of the variables of Delone and Mclean
models. For this reason, this study focuses on the critical review of
the IS literature, and specially keeps attention on the concept WIS
effectiveness at the individual level where the effectiveness is
conceptualized in terms of users performance skills. With the emergency
of Internet technology, considering the interaction design quality as a
determinant of success is highly important. Therefore, this study
explores the impact of IS on the employee competencies. A new
theoretical framework is also developed to cover the incompleteness
problem in the quality factors side by adding a new factor namely
interaction design quality. Since this study discusses WIS effectiveness
in terms of user professional and interpersonal skills, it is expected
that this study would contribute to the empirical studies in the fields
of information system management and human resources development. |

ALI NASSER HUSSAIN, AYMEN KADHIM MOHAISEN |
Abstract: |
Induction motor is considered as one of the most motors that has many
uses in the industrial applications in which requires rapid response and
high accuracy of control for wide ranges of speed. In this paper, Field
Oriented Control (FOC) method was utilized to achieve high performance
of control by separating stator current into two components to control
the torque and field, along with Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation
(SVPWM) technique to reduce the harmonic of the output signal from the
inverter and the best use of the DC voltage. The aim of this paper is to
enhance the speed response during incurring of the motor for a sudden
change of load torque or reference speed. The PSO technique was used to
find the best parameters of the control unit in both the voltage and
current controllers of the FOC system in order to improve the motor
speed response using two objective functions of MAE and ME. The
simulation results of PSO-PI controllers demonstrate the superiority
over the trial and error PI controllers for enhancing steady state
error, rise time and settling time. |
