AN EFFICIENT METHOD OF EEG SIGNAL COMPRESSION AND TRANSMISSION BASED
TELEMEDICINE |
Author: |
ISMAIL@ISMAIL YUSUF PANESSAI, AZMI SHAWKAT ABDULBAQI |
Abstract: |
In this article, an efficient algorithm for EEG signals compressing and
transmission based on RLE and DWT was introduced. The compression ratio (CR)
provided by this algorithm is relatively high with low percent root-mean-square
difference (PRDN) values. 50 records of EEG patients were monitored from the
life database. Each record of EEG signals is commonly reported at the sampling
rates in clinical and research settings between 250 and 2000 Hz. On the other
hand, the new EEG data collection systems are able to record at sampling rates
more than 20,000 Hz. The signals can be analyzed in both the time domain (TD)
and frequency domain (FD) under using DWT where it preserves the necessary and
main features of the EEG signals. Next step to implement this proposed algorithm
is using the thresholding and the quantization over EEG signals coefficients and
then encoded the signals by using RLE that enhancement significantly the
compression ratio (CR). This article presents a robust method of EEG signal
compression and transmission consists of DWT (discrete wavelet transform) and
RLE (run length encoding) in order to improve and enhanced the compression. The
suggested model presents an average values of CR (compression ratio), PRD
(percentage root mean square difference), PRDN (normalized percentage root mean
square difference), QS (quality score ), and SNR (signal to noise ratio) of
44.0, 0.36, 5.87, 143, 3.53 and 59.52 alternately over 50 records of EEG data. |

SITI NUR AISYIAH SYAHRIR, SFENRIANTO |
Abstract: |
Online learning has an important role to support learning activities. Although
it has been widely used by various universities, there is always effort to
increase the interest of the user using a system of online learning which can be
measured through user experience. Several quantitative and qualitative studies
have been conducted to measure online learning from the aspect of the user
experience; however, such a study is still arranged separately. This research
discusses user experience measurement using two methods, namely user experience
questioner (UEQ) as a quantitative study and evaluation heuristics (HE) as a
qualitative study. The data retrieving in the measurement of user experience is
run by distributing questionnaires to 100 students of the online-learning
program in University xyz. Subsequently, the data was analyzed by employing UEQ
and HE. The research results showed that the input and suggestions form users
online learning is relatively similar. Results on UEQ attractiveness resulted in
highest value and the novelty aspect of the lowest. While the results HE all
aspects which had a good evaluation of the results, however there is still
deficiencies which in the measurement HE will further detailing of which parts
should be more focused on. On the final results, there are suggestions that HE
may be the fix for combining UEQ and HE cannot be done, because each has its own
distinctive aspects in the measurement. But both can complement the results of
research with their respective advantages. |

CHOICE OF INDICATORS OF SUSTAINABLE URBAN MOBILITY FOR CASABLANCA AND
CALCULATION OF SOME INDICATORS USING A GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM |
Author: |
ISHAK HBIAK, ABDELAZIZ ADIDI, JEAN-PIERRE NICOLAS, ELHASSAN EL BRIRCHI |
Abstract: |
Sustainable transportation is a direct expression of sustainable development in
the transport sector. The urban transport planning must consider the four
pillars of sustainability: economic, social, environmental and institutional.
Casablanca, like many cities in developing countries experiencing a rapid urban
growth with a great difficulty to ensure the urban transport services.
Therefore, there is a low part of public transportation in the urban mobility,
against a big demand on the private vehicle beside a significant presence of
informal transport. This complicates the planning effort maintained by the
actors in the city that provide significant efforts to ensure the operational
management of urban transport. This work aims to strengthen the position of
sustainability in the planning process undertaken in Casablanca. Thus, we
propose to analyze, compare, and choose a set of sustainable mobility indicators
adapted to the context of Casablanca including offer, demand, economic, social,
environmental and governance indicators. These selected indicators are also a
tool for data collection and measurement on sustainable mobility in the urban
area of Casablanca. We also use a Geographical Information System environment in
order to integrate public transport data and offer maps in addition to
population data into a Geodatabase. Spatial analysis helps us to compute a set
of selected indicators especially those related to the offer and social issues.
This indicators system was used, to show the unsustainability of the urban
transport system of Casablanca. |

Abstract: |
As a result of digital technology revolution and massive growth of smart phone
usage, over 66% of world’s population (4.92 billion) is using mobile phones and
over half of them are using social media. Mobile social networking (MSN) becomes
one of the key communication tool, new trend, necessity and lifestyle. With
information transparency, consumer value changes quickly, whilst rapid
adaptation of similar offerings in the market place, it is essential for
suppliers to keep pace with consumer value changes those directly affect the
consumer satisfaction and loyalty. The research applies academic models and
frameworks to the real life situation to develop a value proposition in the
practical world by considering WeChat (1 billion active users) as the company
under study and comparing it with WhatsApp (1.5 billion active users) as the
leading competitor in the market. The objectives include identification of
customers’ perception of a value for mobile social networking (MSN) services,
followed by critical evaluation of existing value proposition of WeChat with
Whatsapp to identify gap and finally to propose a new value proposition for
WeChat. This paper first identifies customer perceived value (CPV) of mobile
social networking (MSN) apps using Overby and Lee’s model (2004) model followed
by critical review of existing value proposition of WeChat and then comparing
and contrasting with the leading player WhatsApp. Frameworks developed by Piercy
(2009), Anderson J. et al. 2006 are employed for the same. Finally, the case
develops new value proposition for WeChat by using Osterwalder et al 2014 and
other frameworks. By the end of this research, a new consumer value proposition
(CVP) proposal for WeChat is proposed for consideration in matching with the
globally evaluated consumers’ value criteria. |

WAHYU SARDJONO, SYALDAN ADILAT HAKIM |
Abstract: |
The development of systems and information technology in the current era of
globalization, so many companies take advantage of the contribution of the
system and technology to make the company's business processes effective and
efficient, however often the target planned by the company contained in the
service level aggrement, is very difficult to be fulfilled, while the
characteristics of the problem are also not easy to know. Based on the problems
that often occur in companies in utilizing and implementing systems and
information technology, this article tries to discuss how to evaluate the system
and information technology and find out what factors are the cause, then by
knowing the causal factors can be built mathematical models that can be used to
build simulations so that it can be used as a solution in dealing with problems
that occur in the future. The method used in this study is the method of factor
analysis and regression methods. The results obtained from this study are
knowledge development service factors, service development processes and service
outcomes and objectives that must be considered by the company, then a
simulation model can be made that can be used as an alternative in building
predictions to anticipate future problem handling. |

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND CONVERSION PROCESS IN MULTI-FORMAT DISTRIBUTED WORLD
WEB3D FRAMEWORK |
Author: |
MURSID WAHYU HANANTO, AHMAD ASHARI, KHABIB MUSTOFA |
Abstract: |
Current Web3D no longer only contains simple objects or sceneries with low
complexity. Even without the addition of certain application features, the
content of a Web3D site can be so complex that its development can take a long
time. Development time can be reduced by using contents or complete world from
other sites, so users can directly display views that integrate various content
according to the distributed world principle in Web3D. However, this principle
cannot be applied to contents with different document formats, as general
browsers can only display one format at a time. The proposed solution is a
framework which contribute to the distributed world principle by adding the
ability to combine two or more format in a single world. This Framework allows
users to combine contents from multiple source sites and formats at once. To
overcome the major weakness from the browsers, all document format originating
from the source worlds need to be uniform. A series of resource preparation
followed by conversion process have been developed so that all content has the
same format. Prior to conversion, resources from source worlds were managed
locally. The process model of the framework has been implemented and able to
demonstrate the capabilities needed to convert two or more worlds with different
formats to be displayed in one browser window, thus users can interact with the
combined worlds as if they were navigating in a single large world. |

STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE COMPRESSION USING CURVELET |
Author: |
THAFSEELA KOYA POOLAKKACHALIL, SARAVANAN CHANDRAN |
Abstract: |
Recent advancements in the field of stereoscopic image display brings up new
challenges, especially in the transmission of images and their storage. This
factor arises as in stereoscopy where two similar images with different phases
are sent to the human brain to produce a 3D visual perception, the amount of
space required for their transmission and storage is twice when compared to
normal image display. Digital image compression is the sound solution to these
challenges. The features of curvelets, viz. anisotropic scaling and better
directional sensitivity assists in the efficient illustration of image edges
with lower number of non-zero coefficients and hence the motivation for this
novel approach, Stereoscopic Image Compression using Curvelet and Arithmetic
Coding (SICCAC). Here, thresholded, quantization depended mechanism is exploited
to preserve few important coefficients of the curvelets followed by arithmetic
encoding. The experimental analysis display high compression ratio and PSNR. The
proposed method is compared with Image Compression Algorithm based on Curvelet
Transforms and Comparative Analysis with JPEG and JPEG 2000(ICACT). It is
observed that proposed SICCAC outperforms ICACT. |

Abstract: |
The aim of this study is to find out how much Electronic Word of Mouth (EWOM)
marketing and the influence of price level to consumer’s decisions to stay
overnight at hotel, where the case of this study at the Sharia Hotel in Bandung
city, Indonesia. The method that used in this study is an effective causal
analysis that examines the causal relationship of predetermined research
variables. The analysis that used is statistical analysis (path analysis). The
results show that EWOM have a positive and significant influence on consumer
decision making in deciding stay overnight. The influence of the variables tends
to be low because the price-level variables and EWOM have an opposite
relationship. The results of multiple regression states that the relationship of
price-level variables to consumer decisions is negative which means that the
higher the price the lower the consumer's decision to stay overnight at the
Sharia Hotel. While the results of the hypothesis test states that the price
level has no significant effect. While EWOM variable according to the result of
multiple regression have positive correlation and hypothesis test result which
stated that EWOM have significant effect to consumer decision to stay overnight

Abstract: |
Since their appearance and widespread use in 2015, MOOCs, Massive Open Online
Courses are considered as a new online learning form powered by technology. The
number of these courses (MOOCs) has exceptionally increased in recent years, and
the number of the digital platforms that host them has steadily increased. The
most known are the following platforms: Coursera, edX, and Udacity in the United
States, FutureLearn in the United Kingdom, Iversity in Germany, and the platform
FUN (France Université Numérique – Digital University France) in France. Among
these platforms, there are those that are public or private and those that are
for-profit or not. Given their importance in the democratization of knowledge
(free and open to all) and their emergence over the past five years, MOOCs
deserve the full attention of the university community: decision-makers,
teachers, students, and researchers. In this article, we will examine the
online/distance learning concept by presenting a study on MOOCs while describing
the founding principles, types, host platforms, advantages, limits, and success
factors within a massive device (MOOC). The purpose of this study is to put the
light on the questions and issues relating to the MOOC phenomenon in the wave of
online training. |

ONTOLGY-BASED MASHUP MODEL FOR CONTEXT-AWARE SERVICES IN INTERNET OF THINGS
APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTS |
Author: |
YONGGOO CHOI |
Abstract: |
In the IoT (Internet of Things) environments, an integrated context model is
mandatory for governing both context information and context awareness in a
unified and coherent way. The core goal of the model is to enhance
interoperability of heterogeneous contexts and reduce complexity of
context-aware computing under the highly dynamic situations. For realizing this
goal, this paper proposes an OntoMash model for adaptable context awareness and
semantic reasoning services in the IoT information systems. The OntoMash model
is an aggregation of multi-context information based on ontology technologies
for managing overall situations in the IoT environments. The model is able to
accommodate multiple context types from heterogeneous and distributed context
sources and illuminate complex and diverse semantic relationships between
context classes. In the OntoMash modeling scheme, frameworks and ecosystems are
designed to represent its general and global models. The applications of
OntoMash model are discussed in OntoMash adaptation for context-aware reasoning.
Furthermore, in order to investigate the strengths and drawbacks of the OntoMash
model, their performance issues are discussed according to the evaluation
indices. Through simulation models, the evaluation results preliminarily
demonstrate the adaptable benefits of the model in the IoT environments. |

Author: |
WALEED KH. ALZUBAIDI, SHAIMAA H. SHAKER |
Abstract: |
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) comprises with numerous sensor nodes which are
connected with each other through the usage of short distance wireless links.
The data transfer among the individual nodes is found to be energy constrained
and there is a huge requirement of energy efficient protocol in WSNs.
Furthermore, deployment of large number of sensor nodes increases the network
size which in turn increases the rate of energy consumption. In this research,
an efficient protocol is developed comprising the formation of grid based
communication network, selection of efficient path through cluster head
selection and data communication. Furthermore, multi stage authentication is
implemented to provide security for the data transfer from source node to
destination node. Implementation is carried out through NS2 based platform and
the result obtained shows that proposed system outperforms other existing
techniques in terms of packet delivery and energy utilization through network
lifetime. |

A SOFT COMPUTING APPROACH TO OPTIMIZE COMPONENT BASED SOFTWARE COMPLEXITY
METRICS |
Author: |
POOJA RANA, RAJENDER SINGH |
Abstract: |
Identification of software components is found to be a crucial task and
remains as a challenging area in the software domain to extract optimal
components from the component repository[18]. Several methods are deployed to
identify the software components and observed that clustering based technique is
frequently used and offer a solution with certain limitations such as prior
specification of a set of clusters, overlapping and difficulty in selecting the
correct distance metric. In this research, an optimization technique is applied
on some components to get the best result. The genetic algorithm using the
concept of number of chromosomes is applied on software complexity metrics such
as Cohesion of Variables within a Component (COVC), Cohesion of Methods within a
Component (COMC) and Total Cohesion Complexity of a Component (TCCC) which are
proposed by Rana and Singh et.al [14]. Fitness function metrics is proposed for
finding out the fitness value. Rana and Singh also empirically evaluate cohesion
metrics(COVC, COMC, TCCC) and perform comparative analysis with existing metrics
in another research paper [15]. In this paper genetic algorithm is applied on
these metrics for optimization of results. After application of genetic
algorithm, SPSS a statistic tool is applied on the result to find out the
significance of result. The result obtained shows that better optimization of
software metrics is obtained through application of genetic algorithm compared
to without usage of genetic algorithm. |

IMPROVED ENERGY EFFICIENT LEACH IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS |
Author: |
GAURAV KUMAR NIGAM, CHETNA DABAS |
Abstract: |
In this paper, a hierarchical energy efficient LEACH is proposed using different
machine learning and graph algorithms by using K-Means and Greedy Algorithms.
Under Greedy algorithm, Dijkstra’s algorithm is used. The shortest path
determined in each iteration provides the most energy efficient path. The
research gaps in the existing LEACH have motivated various authors to improve it
and tried to overcome its demerits and proposed new protocols to overcome its
deficiency. The simulation is performed in python 3.6 and the simulation result
depicts that all nodes become dead when network completes around 1190 rounds in
LEACH whereas in the proposed energy efficient LEACH protocol all nodes are dead
after about 2250 rounds. Hence, the proposed protocol enhances lifetime of the
network. |

AUV PATH PLANNING BASED EFFICIENT ROUTING FOR UNDERWATER LINEAR SENSOR NETWORKS |
Author: |
ZAHOOR AHMED, KAMALRULNIZAM ABU BAKAR, MUHAMMAD ZAHID ABBAS, MUHAMMAD AYAZ,
EL-HADI M. AGGOUNE |
Abstract: |
The Linear Sensor Networks (LSNs) have gained much attention of the researchers
due to their several positive aspects including easy deployment for linear
structures and robustness in various environments. Although, such types of LSNs
are suitable for many applications and scenarios but considered ideal for oil,
gas, and water pipeline monitoring. In the previous studies, Autonomous
Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) are used to receive data from every sensor on the
LSNs which leads to longer delays and routing overhead. Also, only homogeneous
sensors have been considered in the previous studies, which is not realistic in
the real life scenario of sensor deployment. This research focuses on
heterogeneous LSNs to monitor underwater pipelines where data is collected from
the sensor nodes and transmitted to a surface sink using an AUV. In proposed
network architecture which is called AUV Path Planning-based Efficient Routing
(APPER), AUV only receives data from sensor nodes with higher resources, hence
leads to balance the nodes resources ultimately helping to increase the network
life. The impact of AUV usage is high unlikely pure multi-hop approaches as
other than offering reduced delays and better delivery ratio with better network
lifetime, most importantly it can be extended for hundreds of kilometers.
Simulation results exhibit that APPER achieved improved network performance in
terms of network topology distribution, packet delivery ratio, end-to-end
delays, and routing overhead as compared to the existing routing techniques
including Dynamic Addressing Routing Protocol for Pipeline Management (DARP-PM)
and AUV-based Linear Sensor Networks (ALSN) respectively. |

Abstract: |
E-learning has become an effective component in most educational institutions;
for this reason, there is a clear need to develop general principles and
standards through a systematic model to design e-learning systems. There are
many models of e-learning courses design, but they are differentiated in
quality, in most of these models there is a gap between the needs of system
developers, content designers, lecturers, and students. In this research, a new
model was proposed to design e-learning courses in an attempt to bridge this
gap. The proposed model carries out the analysis, design, and development of
courses for e-learning systems and its application, then how to evaluate the
performance of this system and its usability. A case study was developed by the
stages of this proposed model and using Moodle platform, it illustrates the
creating courses process, study plans, lessons for each semester, and the
analysis, design, and creation of scientific content. where the scientific
content was designed based on the educational approach used by Iraqi
universities. |

A COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF CULTURAL DIMENSIONS ON SOCIAL CAPITAL AND
LIFE SATISFACTION BETWEEN FILIPINOS AND KOREAN FACEBOOK USERS |
Author: |
RICHARD BASILISCO, JAE KWON BAE, KYUNG JIN CHA |
Abstract: |
Facebook is considered as the leading social network site that has attracted
millions of users across countries. However, the motivations for using Facebook
may differ with each country. Studies on the relationship between Facebook
motivation, usage, social capital and life satisfaction have been conducted in a
relatively limited context, such as within in a single country or a single
demographic population. Although much research has shown significant results in
their studies concerning SNS by just using one or two dimensions of Hofstede’s
cultural dimension, taking out the other cultural dimensions may not really
represent the whole cultural attributes of the samples. Comparative research
about Facebook has had so much emphasis on comparisons between Western and Asian
countries not much of two Asian countries. This study showed the influence of
all of Hofstede’s cultural dimensions on to the motivation to use Facebook and
the impact of their usage to their social capital and life satisfaction between
Filipinos and Koreans. The 243 Filipino and 235 Korean respondents of the survey
were processed using SPSS and AMOS. The findings of the study suggest that for
Filipinos, the overall Hofstede cultural dimension has a significant influence
on the identified motivations such as seeking friends, entertainment,
information, convenience and social support. On the other hand for South
Koreans, Hofstede cultural dimensions influence motivation such as seeking
friends, information, convenience, and social support except entertainment. The
study also reveals that the primary motivation for Filipinos to use Facebook is
seeking convenience, information, entertainment, and seeking friends. Filipinos
don’t see Facebook as a source for social support. While for South Koreans,
their primary motivation to use Facebook is seeking social support, convenience,
seeking friends and information. South Koreans do not perceive Facebook as a
source of entertainment. Both Filipino and South Korean Facebook activity does
enhance their overall social capital and life satisfaction, suggesting that uses
and gratification has been attained through their Facebook engagement. |

ANALYSIS OF SPEECH RECOGNITION IN CONVERSATION BOT FOR INTERACTIVE MEDIA USING
AUTOMATED LOG |
Author: |
ERI PRASETYO WIBOWO, ALVIAN RAHMAN HANIF, ARIES MUSLIM |
Abstract: |
Gunadarma University has been developing a Speech Intelligence Bot used either
simply to automate exchanging information or as a better customer services in
many industrial needs. For a basic use, this bot should be able to accept
people’s oral questions and answer them appropriately. This conversation bot is
using Sphinx-4 as its base technology and the process consist of human sending
speech to speech recognition system and convert it into text, then the text is
analyzed with MegaHal Algorithm supported with a knowledge base data, then
generates reponse in a text format and convert it into speech that is sent to
human. Thus, this research purpose is to develop and analyze the speech
conversation bot accuracy with an Automated Logging System, though the
analyzation is still attempted manually. Before answering any question, the
conversation bot must define sets of arranged words as grammar using JSGF
Language to understand any word it might listen. This research has done a test
of asking 20 questions with 3 times repetition on each question to accumulate
accuracy scores on the recognition system itself and the bot conversation as
application. And the result of the test shows that from all generically 90
questions in total was tested on the bot, it shown 90% confidence score in its
recognition level. And for the conversation, the bot showed a considerably low
confidence score with 60% from all recognized questions are answered correctly.
This results might be affected by the lack of environment control, and logic
perfection in how the system accepts voices and converts them into processable
data, it needs many improvements in speech recognition. Also, a better and
faster way to analyze the log data so any further research could achieve more
accurate result is suggested. |

Abstract: |
This study explores the possibility of applying the sociopsychological
phenomenon known as similarity attraction to the creation of more customized and
persuasive mobile advertising, and for this purpose, we develop two
applications, SensPlus and PerAds. While the SensPlus app accumulates the
smartphone usage profiles of participants and constructs a regression model to
predict their personality, the PerAds app presents user-created content
according to the user’s personality. Using these two apps, we first design an
advertising scheme providing a customized and persuasive advertising method
without privacy concerns and then conduct an experiment to investigate the
effectiveness of the smartphone ad scheme. The participants’ response to a
smartphone ad is measured in terms of invitation acceptance of the cherry
blossom festival and classical music concert. We analyze the rate of invitation
acceptance using the χ2 method. Our statistical analysis shows that participants
respond differentially to the various types of smartphone ads according to the
similarity between the personalities of the user and ad types. Our results
indicate that the sociopsychological phenomenon can be introduced into practical
application by replacing the personality trait factors with the smartphone usage
pattern. |

volumes of information. Information retrieval (IR) is defined as a process to
search for information from a larger set of structured documents. Search engines
are the most popular Web IR tool used. Web information retrieval performs search
globally from the largest collection of documents that are linked via a network
and provide search services on the internet through web search engines namely:
Google, Yahoo, and Bing. In this context, a critical study has been conducted on
Meta Search engine, semantic web capabilities and cryptography to identify
effective techniques for information retrieval. A novel Secured Semantic Meta
Search System (SSMSS) is developed with the ideology of applying data security
and semantic web capabilities to Meta search engine for processing real-time
multi-domain web data in textual form. A critical study of some of the popular
baseline search system is discussed. This paper aims at evaluating the
performance of secured semantic Meta search system against four baseline search
systems namely: Swoogle, Metacrawler, Dogpile and SenseBot. The relative
performance results are analyzed and presented for proposed (SSMSS) search
system against four baseline systems by considering the performance metrics
namely: relevancy and irrelevancy score. |

A STUDY ON REPRESENTING NATURAL SENSE OF ATTACK AND DESTROYING BODY-PART IN 3D
GAME BASED ON UNREAL ENGINE 4 |
Author: |
CHANHYUN KIM, YOUNGSIK KIM |
Abstract: |
The system component of the game called destruction has basically a feature that
makes users feel more action and thrill. This feature can give players more
realism and more immersion in the game. Especially, if we apply this system
element to Virtual Reality (VR) technology which is emerging recently, we can
simulate dangerous experiments that can not be done in reality in real time in
other fields than the game. In this paper, we propose a mathematical method to
produce a natural destructive fracture in First Person Shooter (FPS) games.
Through the simulation using the Unreal Engine 4, the proposed method proved the
efficiency of the physics and mathematical expressions derived from the
colliding objects and the experiment in order to achieve optimal part
destruction. By setting the frame rate of a 3D game based on Unreal Engine 4
between 30 and 60, we can simulate the partial destruction of a 3D game
character while reproducing a natural sense of attack. |

AN EFFICIENT JOB SHARING STRATEGY FOR PRIORITIZED TASKS IN MOBILE CLOUD
COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT USING ACS-JS ALGORITHM |
Author: |
C.ARUN, K.PRABU |
Abstract: |
In recent times, users necessitate and expect more demanding criteria to perform
computational intensive applications on their mobile devices. Based on the
mobile device limitations such as processing power and battery life, Mobile
Cloud Computing (MCC) is turned to be a more attractive choice to influence
these drawbacks as a mobile computation can be provided to the cloud, which is
coined as Mobile computation offloading. Prevailing researches on mobile
computation offloading determines offloading mobile computation to single cloud.
Moreover, in real time environment, computation service can be offered by
multiple clouds for every computation services. Therefore, a novel and an
interesting research crisis in mobile computation offloading begins with, how to
choose a computation service for every tasks of mobile computation like
computation time, energy consumption and cost of using these computation
services. This is also termed as multi-site computation offloading in mobile
cloud computation. In this investigation, offloading computation to diverse
cloudlets/data centres with respect to task scheduling is formulated for
examination. So, a heuristic algorithm known as Accelerated Cuckoo Search
Algorithm based job sharing is designed to attain higher data transmission rate
in the MCC. The results of the anticipated method outperform the prevailing
methods in terms of effectual job sharing; transmission speed, Bandwidth used,
execution time of a job, transmission value, through put value, buffering
overhead and reduced waiting time. The simulation was carried out in Cloudsim
environment for superior output. |

Author: |
GAFAR ZEN ALABDEEN SALH, ELFATIH ELMUBARAK MUSTAFA |
Abstract: |
The field of Human Gait Recognition is one of the active research fields. The
number of studies has increased which indicates that this area is important. The
present study has many benefits as it enables us to recognize a person through
his gait in front of a camera even if the gait picture is taken from a long
distance with a low-quality camera. Moreover, many other biometrics require
special equipment; and some of them require taking the picture from a short
distance. This study aims at finding a solution with high quality and efficiency
in the process of recognizing human gait. This is achieved by providing a strong
training set. For this purpose, we created two training sets. The first depends
on figuring out human features by using Gait Energy Image (GEI). The second set
depends upon figuring out human features by using Gait Energy Image (GEI), and
then filtering it by using Gabor Filter. This study was conducted as an
experimental research to gain ideal parameter values for Gabor Filter that
contributes to enhancing the training sets samples that leads to increasing the
system performance efficiency, and we found the best values for Gabor filter
parameters for our system is kernel =3 ,theta = 225 , 𝛾=1.25, 𝜓=0, 𝜆=3.5, and
a bandwidth =2.8. The training and testing were conducted by using (SVM)
Algorithm, the study uses the gait database (CASIA-B) to evaluate our system,
Then, we used (CCR) for Performance measurement . The study reached good ratios
for all views with an average of 76.50% for (GEI+GABOR FILTER) and 76.42 for
(GEI). Moreover, the study achieved an ideal percentage of 78.10% for (GEI+GABOR
FILTER) and 77.66 for (GEI), as compared to previous studies of the positions of
normal-walking, wearing-coat, and carrying-bags at a view of 90. |

Abstract: |
This paper presents an approach based on the alignment of ontologies to
elaborate a collaborative information system. Nowadays collaboration has become
a necessity for the different organizations and requires data and knowledge
about the different partners of the collaboration. Our proposal begins with the
idea of gathering knowledge from the collaboration network by transforming the
class diagram of their information system to ontology using ODM metamodels in
agreement with MDA architecture. We will generate Several ontologies according
to the number of collaboration partners, and they will be aligned using the AML
alignment algorithm to have a collaborative global ontology. To validate we
applied our prototype to the case of organ transplantation which requires
collaboration between different hospitals. |

Abstract: |
Objective – This paper proposed feature extraction of Pap smear slide images and
present an automated method for extracting the features from the input images
(cancerous and non-cancerous cells). Fuzzy logic technique gives better results
in improving the image parameters and provides a better diagnosis of cervical
cancer. Methods- In this work, there are 3 stages. In first stage,
preprocessed images were detecting the edges using fuzzy logic. The detected
edges are converted into gray-level co-occurrence matrix for extracting texture
features. In second stage, the filtered images were selecting the particular
region of nuclei and segment with threshold technique for extracting region
features. In third stage, the filtered images were segmented with colors using
Fuzzy C-means clustering method for color-intensity features. Results – There
are 228 slides of different 7 classes are used to extract the features for
classifying cancerous and non-cancerous cells are present in the Pap smear
slides. There are 22 features are extracted from the input slides of different
stages of classes. Conclusion – Feature extraction techniques provide the
statistical measures for further implementation of feature selection and
classification for classifying cancerous and non-cancerous cells are present in
Pap smear image. |

FULLY RECURRENT DEEP NEURAL LEARNING BASED UNCERTAIN DATA CLUSTERING |
Author: |
MURUGANANTHAM S, ELANGO N M |
Abstract: |
Uncertain data is the data that deviate from the exact and original values.
Clustering the uncertain data is an imperative task in data mining since it
provides unpredicted results. Many clustering techniques have been developed for
processing the uncertain data but the robustness and accuracy were not
increased. In order to increase the clustering accuracy, a Fully Recurrent Deep
Neural Learning based X-means Data Clustering (FRDNL-XDC) technique is proposed
for mining uncertain data with minimal time. In this technique, deep learning
approach based X-means clustering is used to partition the whole dataset into
different clusters for mining the uncertain data. The ‘x’ number of clusters and
centroids are initialized randomly in the hidden layer. The bivariate
correlation coefficient is used to find the correlation between the centroid of
the cluster and the data to be clustered. Sigmoid activation function is used at
the output layer where it maps the data with the centroid of the cluster to form
certain data using Akaike information criterion with higher accuracy and minimum
time. In FRDNL-XDC technique, feedback connections formulate to group the
similar data with the minimal false positive rate. For validation, the proposed
FRDNL-XDC technique is compared with the existing clustering techniques namely
UKmeans clustering mechanism and UK- medoids-SMDM. The results obtained on El
nino dataset show that the proposed FRDNL-XDC technique increases the clustering
accuracy with less false positive rate and time complexity than the
state-of-the-art methods. |

HUSAM YASEEN, AHMAD SAMED AL-ADWAN, AMRO AL-MADADHA |
Abstract: |
This article aims at determining the level of digital marketing adoption and
investigating the essential requirement of digital marking adoption among
Jordanian SMEs companies. A mix method approach was adopted to achieve the
objectives of the study, consisted of an online survey questionnaire followed by
semi-structured interviews. Two hundred seventy-nine questionnaires were
collected, and fifteen interviews were conducted. The quantitative data from the
questionnaire were analysed using SPSS 2.5 software and the qualitative data of
each interview have been analysed using thematical and textual analysis. The
finding revealed that digital marketing adoption is still in its early stage of
adoption. The majority of SMEs are limited their usage to social media and email
marking as a common tool for digital marketing. Moreover, lack of human skills,
awareness of what digital marketing and technological tools that drives digital
marketing were found to be the dominant factors to adopt digital marketing among
SMEs companies in Jordan. |
