Abstract |
Hierarchical agglomerative
clustering merges the clusters basing on their distance similarity. In this
paper we present a new mathematical method called D metric spaces by Indian
mathematician B.C.Dhage who has submitted his thesis in 1984 at Maratwada
university. We present an algorithm for hierarchical clustering using D metric
concept instead of Euclidean distance which reduces the total number of
iterations ,complexity and computation time. Here we showed an example that
contains the results of both techniques and also comparisons |

Abstract |
Continuing formal education is
essential for distance learners to improve their learning skills and knowledge
to meet the challenge career in modern competitive world. This study examines
the success factors that influence learners' use of the Learning Management
System (LMS) and tests the applicability of the propose model, in the context of
distance learning practices in higher education. A survey was conducted to
higher education learners who involved in distance learning instruction. This
study used a set of questionnaire which was adapted from the literatures to
examine three groups of dimensions, system design (system quality, service
quality, information quality, usefulness and ease of use), system usage (system
use, behavioural intention to use and user satisfaction) and System Outcome (net
benefit). Using data from a survey to distance learning students (N=425), a path
analysis revealed that system design has a significant influence on user
satisfaction and intention to use of the LMS which directly affect the use of
the system. Consequently user satisfaction and system used show strong impact to
the net benefit |

Abstract |
Orthogonal Frequency Division
Multiplexing (OFDM) system gives more attentions due to its high data rate and
its capability to combat multi-path interference. In this paper, two aims will
be studied. First aim is to simulate OFDM system with equalization using Minimum
Mean Square Error (MMSE) and Zero Forcing (ZF). Simulation results demonstrate
the validity of the analytical results over Stanford University Interim (SUI)
channels and AWGN, which are not clarified until now. Also, QAM constellations
of this system are shown under different sub-carriers and modulation techniques
over different SUI channels to illustrate these results. Other aim is to suggest
a proposed scheme of OFDM system with equalization over SUI channels to decrease
Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). This proposed scheme combines conventional
technique and compander technique. Optimum will be used in this proposed
technique. Comparisons will be made between the system that is used proposed
technique and the system without reduction. Simulation results show that the
proposed technique is more efficient for reduction of PAPR. |

Abstract |
E-Learning is a new way of learning
which is caused by the flourishing development of computer and electronic
information technology. The teaching and learning are not to be limited by space
and time through the Internet. Besides, they can develop the flexibility and
popularity of interactive teaching. By the digital records of e-Learning and
assessment in the computer information system, managers could effectively handle
learning results of the learners, and combine the results with the development
of human resource and the financial operation system, to achieve the effective
enterprise resources integration.
In recent decades, the rapid development of information technology causes that
large food and beverage enterprises take information technology into supporting
internal operating procedures. However, effective utilization of technological
resources within an organization is limited. To face the pressure of business
competition and globalization, enterprises have been engaging in the activities
of Knowledge Management, and actively exploring that how to promote knowledge
management within the company, through which way to create a competitive
advantage by knowledge management. However, the knowledge sharing is an
important core issue of knowledge management. In other words, knowledge
management decides if it would success or failure. This paper would try to build
an e-learning system of adaptive learning within an organization. Moreover, it
would help employees learning development and effective use of corporate
resources and also to be helpful for the expectations of the business
organization strategic development.
This paper takes enterprise into the research object and helps them to establish
the adaptive e-Learning System. We expect this system would improve substantial
benefit of the human resources management and development, Planning of Decision
Support System. It also improves the effective planning of human resources, to
match employees career planning with corporate. Employees could learn knowledge
via e-learning management system, an effective solution to multinational staff
of vocational training and time-consuming and cost issues. |

Abstract |
Recent trends in power systems are
mostly undergoing research in the area of widespread failures. With the increase
in power demand, operation and planning of large interconnected power system are
becoming more complex, so power system will become less secure and stable.
Operating environment, conventional planning and operating methods can leave
power system exposed to instabilities. Voltage stability is one of the phenomena
which have result in a major blackout. Moreover, with the fast development of
restructuring, the problem of voltage stability has become a major concern in
deregulated power systems. FACTS controllers narrow the gap between the no
controlled and the controlled power system mode of operation, by providing
additional degrees of freedom to control power flows and voltages at key
locations of the network because of their flexibility and fast control
characteristics. Placement of these devices in suitable location can lead to
control in line flow and maintain bus voltages in desired level and so improve
voltage stability margins. This paper presents a GA and PSO analysis based
allocation algorithm for Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) considering Cost
function of UPFC device, Voltage stability indices(VSI) for optimal placement,
Improvement of voltage profile and Reduction of power system losses. Proposed
algorithm is tested on a IEEE- 5 bus and IEEE-30 bus test power system for
optimal allocation of UPFC device and results are presented. |

Abstract |
In any software product, the user
interface is one of the most important parts that defines the communication
between the user and the system. One of the challenges in user interfaces is in
the ability to save its state at any time as in many cases, especially in
problems such as power interruptions; there is a need to save the last good
state. In some other cases, there is a need to see if the user interface state
is changed or to compare the current state with a previous one. This is required
for several possible cases such as: evaluation, and changes in requirements,
design and implementation. The format used for storing the state of the
Graphical User Interface (GUI) should be global and can be easily used by
different types of applications (such as the XML format). A GUI state is usually
defined as the overall combination of properties of all the components or
widgets of the GUI. In this paper an alternative back end representation is
proposed for user interfaces and their state from their original format within
the applications. In this approach the user interface is converted to an XML
file. This XML file represents the current state of the user interface. To avoid
state explosion, in this representation the contents of the state considers only
the structure of the user interface and ignores controls properties that are
state irrelevant. A control property is considered as state relevant if it may
cause a state change if its property is changed. For example, in a GUI control,
the control name, ID, tag, etc are usually irrelevant to the GUI state change
compared to the control location, color, or the visibility and enable
properties which are state relevant. The XML file format is largely used and
accepted by many software applications. It is the infrastructure language for
web pages and database management systems. User interface documentation is
useful for future evaluation and comparison and useful for stakeholders
communication. In this research, it is also proposed for GUI testing activities
such as regression testing where testing is triggered if there is a change in
the state of the user interface. A tool is developed to automatically evaluate
the possible changes of the user interface d. Several open source projects are
used for testing and evaluation. In each case, different types of GUI state
changes are designed, tested and evaluated. |

Abstract |
STEGANOGRAPHY is defined as the art
of hiding information. STEGANOGRAPHY and cryptology are similar in the way that
they both are used to protect important information. The difference between the
two is that STEGANOGRAPHY involves hiding information so it appears that no
information is hidden at all therefore the person will not attempt to decrypt
the information. In STEGANOGRAPHY the different file formats can be used for the
purpose of hiding the information like for example the video or audio etc.
STEGANOGRAPHY comes from the Greek words STEGANS (Covered) and GRAPTOS
(Writing). STEGANOGRAPHY in the modern day sense of the word usually refers to
information or a file that has been concealed inside a digital Picture, Video or
Audio file. |

Abstract |
Optical properties of scenario
objects for rendering realistic images synthesis are highly important for
computer graphics. We have proposed a methodology to obtain some illumination
parameters of a real scenario represented by an acquired image and use these
parameters for the adequate rendering of an equivalent virtual scenario made by
hand. The proposed methodology uses an acquired image that we call ObjetiveImage
and compare it with a rendered equivalent image of a virtual scenario, called
RenderedImage that represents the original. The real scenario is approached by
hand, but some of the illumination parameters like light source position and
intensity as well as objects color are searched by using a Differential
Evolution algorithm. Rendering images that approximate to the real acquired
image, by some virtual scenario parameter modification based on the DE search,
we call "Rendering in the loop". Finally we use the obtained parameters to
render a better resolution image to obtain the result. The fitness function for
the comparison of the two images is the most important search in this
investigation. |
