We will use some security standards methodology (PKI, Kerberos etc.) allow diverse organizations to interact without overly complex interfaces. This standard security methodology will be a set of security policies that represent the common denominators among the participating organizations.
Now, given that you are not likely to run into earth-shattering algorithmic breakthroughs in every OS release cycle, how to you make the system faster? The problem has a multi-pronged solution:
Boot Cache
A simple common sense solution will be to keep the most frequently
used and initial mandatory modules to be loaded in order to get the
system up faster and be more efficient.
Hot File Clustering
Most recently used files may be identified and clustered to improve the performance.
Working Set Detection
Working set detection can also be a significant performance booster.
Pre-binding
Pre-binding has proven to improve the execution performance.
Instant-on
Keeps the user under the impression that the system is up and ready on one touch technology.
